The hotel was originally a priest's farmhouse constructed in stone and wood at the end of the last century. It is built on the side of a mountain on a rock outcrop offering spectacular views of the mountains and surrounding countryside. In 1995 it was converted into a small family hotel. Whilst maintaining much of its original character and a very cosy atmosphere, it has all the comforts of a modern hotel. A restaurant (catering for hotel guests only), lounge with an open fire and small bar; and 8 bedrooms all with outstanding views, en suite bathroom, television, telephone and central heating. The hotel has been selected as a member of the prestige's quality club "Casonas Asturianas", because of the high standards it offers.

At two kms from Arriondas, with it's excellent road communications the hotel is in a strategic position, making it an ideal base for discovering the mountains including the Picos de Europa, the coastline, the river Sella and enjoying the many outdoor activities available in the area.
